Microsoft is making changes to crack down on local Windows 11 accounts. You’ll need an internet connection and a Microsoft account to setup a new Windows PC.

Microsoft is moving users of Windows 11’s Mail and Calendar apps to the new Outlook for Windows app. Existing users have until December 31st to move apps.

Microsoft confirmed that it plans to auto-install Microsoft 365 Companion apps, including People, Calendar, and File Search, on Windows 11.
